You’ll find walking and biking trails, a disc golf course, and a popular skate park tucked into Pecan Creek Park. The city lake offers a peaceful spot for fishing, strolling, or just enjoying the view. Need a pit stop while passing through? Check out Horton Park playground and the new Hamilton Dog Park.

Youth & School Sports

Growing Champions from the Ground Up
Hamilton is proud to support our next generation of athletes. The Hamilton County Youth Athletic Association (HCYAA) offers seasonal sports for children, including baseball, softball, football, and cheer. At the school level, Hamilton ISD Athletics Department brings the community together year-round with a full roster of sports, from Friday night football to track meets, basketball, and beyond.

Perry Country Club

Tee Off in the Texas Hill Country
The Perry Country Club is Hamilton’s hometown golf course, offering nine scenic holes nestled among rolling hills. It’s a great place for casual play, friendly tournaments, or simply enjoying time outdoors. While it operates as a private club, public play is often available — call ahead for tee times and membership info.

Events such as the Gary W Schoen Jr Memorial Golf Tournament, the Harry Bullard Memorial, and Green’s Keeper Revenge keep members and visitors out on the course.
